Working Together & Learning Together
Written by Mrs. Rhodes
Tuesday, 15 December 2009

Members of the Memorial Park National Honor Society are working with students at NHS as peer mentors.  We work on pre-vocational tasks, read-a-louds, and arts and crafts together.  This is a wonderful opportunity for NHS students to work on social and communication skills.  We greatly appreciate the involvement of the MPS National Honor Society and it's sponsors, Dr. Holly Morgan and Curtis Jordan.  Thank you so much!

North Highlands students for the third year will have an opportunity to participate at EASI (Equines Assisting Special Individuals).  Therapeutic riding provides physical and occupational therapy to individuals in areas of posture, balance, joint movement, and flexibility.  The EASI staff and volunteers provide social skills opportunities and a lot of love and special attention to each child.
